Thermal Imaging is a non-intrusive, non-invasive and non-destructive method of surveying the thermal performance of a building, its equipment and components.
All objects emit infrared radiation. Using specialised Flir thermal imaging cameras we record the radiation emitted to produce typically a colour image called a thermogram (as seen above). |
|
Thermograms can be used typically to confirm compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations for continuity of insulation, or as part of a planned preventative maintenance programme of equipment.
Along with our experience in building construction, surveys may be used to identify a wide range of possible issues for investigation or defects that may otherwise go undetected in buildings and equipment. |
|
Issues and defects that we identify include heat loss and energy wastage - poor insulation to building envelopes or services, poor cavity wall and loft insulation, defective window and door seals, and water ingress and damage.
